Raspberry Pi Imager v2.0.12, released on GitHub on October 8, 2026, adds Pi Connect QR code sign-in and GitHub SSH key import to the network installer, stores the Wi-Fi passphrase instead of a derived key to fix WPA3/SAE, and stops cancelled writes from reporting success.

Raspberry Pi Desktop returns for PCs and Intel Macs as a 64-bit Debian Trixie image with Pi Connect
Raspberry Pi released a new Raspberry Pi Desktop for PC and Mac on 6 October 2026: a 64-bit-only Debian 13 'Trixie' live and installable image with the Control Centre, new dock, Wayland and the Raspberry Pi Connect client. It is the first x86 release since 2022, does not support Apple Silicon, and needs a full reinstall.
