Sipeed is crowdfunding the SLogic32U3, the new flagship of its SLogic logic analyzer series, on Kickstarter. CNX Software reported on October 9, 2026 that the campaign passed its 50,000 HKD goal (about US$6,400, per CNX) in a couple of hours, and that backers should expect perks to ship "by the end of November 2026 if everything goes according to plan." That date is an estimate. The product is funded, not shipping.
The device records 32 digital channels through four Mini-HDMI connectors and sends the data to a host over USB 3.2 Gen2. Sipeed calls it "the world's first logic analyzer with a USB3.2 Gen2 interface." Captures stream to the PC in real time, so capture depth is limited by the PC's memory or disk rather than by onboard memory.
What the hardware offers
Sipeed's wiki page for the SLogic32U3 lists these specifications:
| Item | Specification |
|---|---|
| Digital channels | 32 |
| Connectors | 4 × Mini-HDMI (HDMI Type-C 1.4, 8 channels each, coaxial shielded) + USB-C |
| Max sample rate | 1400M@4CH · 800M@8CH · 400M@16CH · 200M@32CH |
| Digital signal bandwidth | 350 MHz |
| USB interface | USB3.2 Gen2 x1 / Gen1 x1 / 2.0 HS (10 Gbps line rate) |
| Actual stream rate | 800 MB/s (6.4 Gbps) |
| Stream FIFO buffer | 2 Gbit DDR3 |
| Capture mode | Stream (real-time readback); depth limited by PC memory/disk |
| Input voltage range | 0 – 10 V |
| Adjustable threshold (Vth) | 0 – 6 V, 0.1 V steps |
| Input impedance | 100 kΩ (digital input) |
| Trigger | Multi-channel / multi-edge combinations (SLogicView, sigrok-cli) |
| Power | USB powered, rated 5 V @ 65 mA |
| Probe cable | 15 cm coaxial shielded cable + PTFE jumper wire |
| Enclosure | CNC aluminum, 59 × 51 × 13 mm |
The 10 Gbps figure is the USB link's line rate; the sustained stream rate is 800 MB/s. Sipeed describes the DDR3 memory as an "elastic buffer" that, together with the USB link, lets the analyzer sustain that rate. The wiki does not name the FPGA or other logic inside the analyzer.
Optional analog module
An optional ADC module adds what Sipeed calls an oscilloscope mode. The wiki lists it as 4 channels, 8-bit, 100 MSa/s, with 10 MHz analog bandwidth and a ±15 V safe input. LinuxGizmos reports selectable ±15V or ±7.5V input ranges and switchable AC or DC coupling.
Software
Sipeed lists SLogicView, ngscopeclient, sigrok-cli and the SLogicWeb browser app as compatible software, plus the community app ALL LOGIC. Supported hosts are Windows 10/11 x64, Linux x86_64, macOS (Apple Silicon) and Android through the browser. SLogicWeb runs at slogic.sipeed.com, the host applications are at github.com/sipeed/SLogic, and firmware supports OTA updates.
CNX Software says the analyzer supports more than 150 protocols, including SPI, I²C, UART, JTAG, CAN and Modbus. LinuxGizmos adds PulseView and other sigrok-compatible tools to the list, says the browser app works in Chromium-based browsers on desktop and Android, and names SWD, USB, SDIO and HDMI-CEC among the decoders. It also reports "MCP-based integration for compatible AI agents and development environments."
Where it fits
CNX Software describes the SLogic32U3 as the successor to the SLogic16U3, which launched in 2025. Sipeed's wiki compares the two: the SLogic16U3 has 16 channels on USB 3.2 Gen1 x1, an 800 MSa/s maximum sample rate, a 4 Gbps actual stream rate, a 128 Kibit BSRAM stream buffer and 200 MHz digital bandwidth. The SLogic32U3 doubles the channel count, moves to USB 3.2 Gen2, uses a 2 Gbit DDR3 stream buffer, and adds OTA firmware updates and the ADC expansion. The series also includes the smaller USB 2.0 SLogic Combo8.
Pricing and campaign status
Pledge levels at launch:
- Early bird: from $129 (CNX Software). LinuxGizmos reported on October 11, 2026 that the lower-priced early-bird tiers had sold out.
- Kickstarter single unit: HK$1,169 (~US$149), per LinuxGizmos.
- Planned retail price after the campaign: $179, per LinuxGizmos.
- ADC modules: $9 each, per LinuxGizmos.
- Shipping: 60 to 140 HKD depending on destination, per CNX Software.
Sipeed's wiki does not list a price; its buy link points to the Kickstarter campaign. The end-of-November delivery estimate is about six weeks away from October 20, 2026.
What It Means for Makers
Sipeed pitches the SLogic32U3 for work ranging from single-bus debugging to multi-lane parallel bus analysis, naming buses such as SD UHS-I, eMMC HS200 and Octal-SPI.
Plan the host side. The wiki lists Gen1 and USB 2.0 HS modes as well as Gen2, and the 800 MB/s stream rate is quoted for the Gen2 link. Check the wiki's input voltage range and threshold settings against your target before probing.
Sigrok compatibility means captures can be handled in sigrok-cli and other sigrok tools as well as Sipeed's own applications. Sipeed suggests SLogicView for most users and ngscopeclient for advanced analysis.
For now the hardware is available only through the Kickstarter campaign. LinuxGizmos reports a planned $179 retail price, with no retail date given. As with any crowdfunded hardware, a pledge buys a place in the production run, not a product already in stock.
